Airgun Hobbyist October 2013 - page 4

During our trips this summer we’ve collected
a lot of informaƟon from manufacturers in the airgun
industry. In this issue we’ll feature our look inside the
AirForce Airguns facility in Fort Worth Texas.
Along with the opportunity to build a Red
Ryder on Daisy’s assembly line. We were also able to
view the prototype of the new Duck Commander Daisy
Air Rifle and get some background informaƟon on how
it came to be.
You’ll also get a chance to see some of the
work done behind the scenes during the filming of an
American Airgunner TV show episode.
Look for futures arƟcles
on our tours of the Umarex
USA, Daisy and Sun OpƟcs USA
head quarters. And our private
tour of the Daisy Museum.
During our visit at
Umarex USA, we were given
the unique opportunity to test
both the actual firearm and the
replica version on Umarex’s test
range, including 2014 models.
We plan on reviewing many of
these replicas in future arƟcles.
AŌer handling both the firearm
and airgun replica, all I can
say is that the replicas are
extremely accurate versions of
the real thing.
Our trips to the various
manufacturers was definitely a wonderful experience,
we hope that you will enjoy seeing and reading about
the inside workings of these companies.

The article on page 4 about the Umarex P.08 had incorrect information.
In Germany the "F-in-pentagon" mark that indicates a muzzle energy not
exceeding 7.5 J (5.5 ft·lb). That proof mark did not exist on the actual
firearm.
On page 15, Randy Bimrose was misspelled in article about the CA airgun
show.
On page 8, the article on the Hatsan AT-P2, the caption on left column
incorrect said 10 yards, should have read 10 and 25 yards.
